Kirmen Uribe Urbieta<br role=\"presentation\">is one of the most important contemporary authors in Spain<br role=\"presentation\">and winner of the Premio Nacional de Literatura for his<br role=\"presentation\">debut novel Bilbao-New York-Bilbao. Uribe writes his<br role=\"presentation\">works in Basque. They have been translated into over twenty languages<br role=\"presentation\">and appeared in The New Yorker and The Paris Review, among others. In 2018-2019, he was a writing fellow at the New York Public Library Cullman Center. The pre-life of the dolphins has emerged from this fellowship.
