He translates from a wide range of source languages (Czech, Ancient Greek, Latin) into German and from several languages (including German, Ancient Greek, French) into Czech. He is the author of translations by Karel \u010capek, Zuzana Lazarov\u00e1, Josef V\u00e1chal, Karel Hynek M\u00e1cha and J. H. Krchovsk\u00fd.<\/p>\n<div id=\"collapse4\" class=\"collapse show\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"collapse4heading\">\n<div class=\"card-collapse-content\">\n<p>The jury particularly praised Cik\u00e1n&#8217;s style of translation, which demonstrates a particular fluency even in the complex original texts.
