The morning of February 24, 2022 starts like any other day for Natasha. And then her children’s German teacher stands at the school gate and cries.
Since the beginning of the war of aggression against Ukraine, Natasha Klyucharyova has kept a diary and noted how paralyzing fear, shame and horror spread through her, while all around her life goes on as if nothing had happened. How individuals dare to protest on the streets despite the threat of draconian punishments. How the suffering of Ukraine is perceived (or not). And how the language is coming under pressure – how can people still talk and speak to each other
in a country that is banning the use of more and more words? <\/p>\n
