Nirwana<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The twins Hugo and Willem Adema couldn’t be more different. One is a celebrated artist, the other runs the multi-million offshore empire built up by his grandfather. But who was this grandfather, who first fought on the German side and then joined the resistance? When his diaries, which were thought to be missing, turn up, everyone soon finds themselves dealing with much more than just the past. Nirwana <\/i>is a dazzling generational novel about the intertwining of economics and fascism, the advance of the new right and the question of the power and powerlessness of art. <\/p>
