Filmon, who fled Eritrea for Tel Aviv, works as a delivery driver. He wants to save enough money to join his wife and daughter in Berlin. His job is always at risk; he doesn’t have a work permit and drives under a false name. His wife and daughter are learning German from Nina at the education center. The teacher travels to Delhi for an exchange semester, where she falls in love with Ramón, an Argentine. The narrator travels to Istanbul to blow the prize money from a literary award after pulling off a scam. And in Buenos Aires, Ramón’s mother must come to terms with her son’s absence. *Liefern* is a literary journey around the world in six episodes and a celebration of the art of storytelling as only Tomer Gardi can deliver it: profound and humorous, with political sensitivity and literary verve.
