K\u0101veh grows up in Iran during the Revolution. While his father, a member of the opposition, disappears overnight into the notorious Evin Prison, his mother keeps their fragile daily life going for K\u0101veh and his younger brother, \u0100btin. They leave Tehran and move into their grandparents\u2019 house on the edge of a mountain, where \u0100btin finds refuge in the large garden and K\u0101veh in Mrs. Med\u0101di\u2019s bookstore. Their new life also includes visits to their father in prison\u2014until, suddenly, everything falls apart. Aidin Halimi vividly recounts growing up in the shadow of history\u2014caught between fear and the hope for a free life,
sustained by the love of her parents. <\/p>

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAidin Halimi\t\t\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\tBorn in Iran in 1981, he is an author, poetry slammer, and comedian. \nAt age 16, he emigrated to Germany and now lives in Berlin. In 2021, he won the Berlin-Brandenburg Poetry Slam Championships. He studied literature and history and has already had his work published in numerous anthologies.
