\n\t\t\t\t\t\tBorn in 1985 in Gifhorn, she studied creative writing and cultural journalism in Hildesheim, as well as Polish studies in Krak\u00f3w. In 2009, Sabrina Janesch became Gda\u0144sk\u2019s first city writer. She has received numerous fellowships and awards for her novels, including the Mara Cassens Prize (2010), the Anna\nSeghers Prize (2011), and the Annette von Droste-H\u00fclshoff Prize in 2017. In addition to her prose works, she also publishes journalistic articles for media outlets in Germany and abroad.
