02.04 LitLab: Jeff Hemmer

The LitLab (Literature Lab) is an initiative of the Department of Linguistics and Literature at the University of Bremen and is aimed at upper secondary school students. Through our programs, students come into contact with authors from different backgrounds and are encouraged to develop their creative writing skills under professional guidance and gain initial insights into literary studies.

Comic illustrator Jeff Hemmer shows how communication can succeed without language in a literary-artistic workshop at the Wilhelm-Kaisen-Oberschule. The pupils not only learn the art of drawing comics, but also find out how creative stories can be created without words.
