City of multilingualism

Today, 40% of people living in London have come from abroad, in Frankfurt am Main the proportion of migrants is 42.7%, in Amsterdam 59%. In Bremen alone, the people who live here speak at least 80 different languages; the assumed proportion is probably 100 different languages. How multilingualism influences our lives, our thought patterns, our literature – this is the topic of the panel discussion.
This will be followed by a performance by the international, Bremen-based artists’ collective Sineumbra.
