Our friends from the DJV Bundesverband have launched the #StopptFakeNews campaign to mark the 2025 federal elections. Prominent journalists and experts are speaking out in short statements on the topic of disinformation. The videos will be published at regular intervals until the federal election on February 23. On the one hand, they call on people to take a stand against fake news, but they also explain the role that journalists themselves play in combating it. The campaign kicked off with videos featuring Katrin Eigendorf and Jo Schück. “Targeted disinformation is poison for any democracy,” emphasizes DJV Federal Chairman Mika Beuster: “We have been able to win over many smart voices who are committed to fighting fake news.” The videos and download material for the social media channels are available here can be found here.
