Antje Rávik Strubel’s new novel is about the journalist Hella Karl, who learns from the newspaper one morning that the star of the Berlin theater scene has taken his own life – news that will throw her off course. The journalist had written a momentous article about the celebrated man and is now held responsible for his death. The novel is a cheerful and gripping tale of a media scandal.
