The Israeli playwright Maya Arad Yasur wrote a text shortly after the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023: “How to remain humanistic after a massacre in 17 steps”. In it, she poses the question: How to remain humanistic afterwards? Director Sapir Heller set up the text as a performance and has already staged it this year at numerous theaters from Berlin to Frankfurt and Munich. Now, on the anniversary of October 7, the text will be performed in the Kleines Haus of Theater Bremen, with actress Shirin Eissa. Afterwards, there will be a joint discussion: about the questions raised in the play, about humanism and about what can be done at all and how a conversation and exchange is and remains possible in these times. “How to remain humanistic after a massacre in 17 steps”, performance and discussion with Maya Arad Yasur, Sapir Heller, Shirin Eissa and others on Monday, October 7 at 7:30 pm in the Kleines Haus of Theater Bremen.

Note: On the same day, the German-Israeli Society Bremen will be holding a rally entitled “October 7: Never again!” on Bremen’s market square at 5 pm.
