10 - 14.3.2025 What's up - Literature workshop at SZ Walle

What motivates young people today? What do they dream about? And how can their thoughts be transformed into trenchant short stories?

For one week, students in the E phase (11th grade) of the Waller Ring school center immerse themselves in the art of the short story. Together with the writer Osman Engin, they explore satirical perspectives and stylistic features of this format. Manuela Weichenrieder supports the participants in questions of dramaturgy and presentation – because a good story unfolds its effect not only on paper, but also in the spoken word.

Whether humorous observations of everyday life, critical reflections or surprising twists and turns – the workshop produces texts that reflect young people’s view of the world. A creative journey through their own feelings, language and narrative art.
