The writers Paula Fürstenberg, Alisha Gamisch, and Raphaëlle Red have formed a literary girl band: The No Scribes.

Hardly any other pop culture phenomenon shaped the 1990s and 2000s as much as girl groups. Straddling the line between rebellion and mainstream appeal, they explored sisterhood, body image, social mobility, and the question of who is even allowed to perform on the big stage. But behind the glitz often lay exploitative structures, standardized role models, and power dynamics within an industry that swallowed up the collective just as quickly as it had staged it. An evening that blends homage and deconstruction, theory and the dance floor, readings and performance.
