After completing his studies, Florian Torres worked in various cultural institutions in the fields of remembrance work and art in France, Algeria and Germany. In 2018, he founded the publishing house éditions du typhon together with his brother. Through their shared fondness for Germany, they discovered its diverse literature: from the Romantic E.T.A. Hoffman to Ernst Wiechert and central figures of the German avant-garde such as Irmgard Keun to the contemporary author Mirko Bonné. In French texts, they publish new voices inspired by horror literature, fairy tales and fables.
