Open Call NEXT FUTURE PLEASE! It doesn't work without courage, commitment and confidence
We are documenting this call from our friends at the Bremer Shakespeare Company.
At the beginning of November, the coalition broke up and the date for the election to the next Bundestag on February 23 was announced – so the February 21 format for words, music and dance must have the Bundestag election in mind.
As Ilija Trojanow says: We should stab problems in the back from the confident side
What is our confidence?
that we have democratic rights,
that art is free
that we can think, say and publish what we think is right
that we have a right to self-determination
that we have a functioning social system
that we benefit greatly from living in one of the most prosperous countries of the world
that we can be in solidarity
that it is a privilege to be able to vote and to be elected
that migration is not a threat
that we can communicate and support each other
that we can come up with something better
… and can also implement them if we can convince enough people –
THIS IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT.
Who would be there, with a spoken contribution (2-10min), which musicians can be there, which choirs, dancers, players?
NEXT FUTURE PLEASE! It doesn’t work without courage, commitment and confidence. February 21, 2025, 19:30 Theater am Leibnizplatz
So that we can develop a good dramaturgy, please send registrations by January 15, 2025 to: renate.heitmann@shakespeare-company.com
